Can it be considered a new product if it’s such an old design? A small aluminum part with two parts, maybe three max, with a washer.

Of course, rebuilding anything familiar is never that simple.

Replicating the dimensions was easy; recreating the feel was not. The drawings didn’t hold the soft glide of a screw that’s been turned a thousand times. Freshly milled surfaces couldn’t imitate the gentle patina of use.

In re-creating it, we realized it wasn’t just rebuilding hardware. It was rebuilding continuity, proof that an object’s identity isn’t bound solely to its parts, but to the intention and understanding that shape it.
